About the Veterinarian
Dr. Tanya Hoffman is a licensed veterinarian and graduated from the University of Wisconsin School of Veterinary Medicine.  Before this she received a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Captive Wildlife Management from the University of Wisconsin- Stevens Point. Since graduation from vet school Dr. Hoffman has been working in the wildlife disease field and has had the opportunity to work with many wildlife species, as well as companion animals. In 2008 Dr. Hoffman decided to expand her veterinary knowledge into veterinary spinal manipulation. This has quickly become a passion of Dr. Hoffman's and she completed a 226 hour (minimum) VSMT course at the Healing Oasis Wellness Center (www.healingoasis.edu) in Feb of 2009. This course focused on functional neurology, neuroanatomy, anatomy, and adjusting techniques. Since completing this course Dr. Hoffman has been throughly enjoying offering the help and support VSMT work can add to traditional veterinary medicine, and has been seeing wonderful results in her patients.

Your VSMT appointment could include all or parts of the below outline. Dr. Hoffman does not practice VSMT as a one size fits all protocol, so you will receive what you animal need at each appointment, in addition to any consultations you would like:

  • Physical exam
  • Neurologic evaluation
  • Orthopedic exam
  • Gait analysis
  • VSMT exam
  • Consultations
You can expect the first visit to last around 60 min, and follow-up visits to be between 20-30 min. If your animal and case need more time this can be arranged as well.
